Hamilton Island

One of the most spectacular of all the Whitsunday Islands, Hamilton Island is also the biggest inhabited island in the group.

With some of the best beaches and amazingly clear blue water, plenty of things to occupy your time or the perfect place to relax and unwind.

Easy to reach with daily flights directly to the island, it's also possible to visit by ferry.

Some of the activities on Hamilton Island

Golf: 2009 saw the opening of the Hamilton Island Golf Club, and it is the only island championship golf course in Australia. Designed by golfing champion Peter Thomson, it is a par 71, 18 hole course of over 6000 metres with perhaps the best scenery of any golf course in the world.

Water sports: of course being surrounded by such beautiful waters, Hamilton Island is the perfect place for water sports. Whether you just want to take a refreshing swim, or go snorkeling, diving, water skiing, fishing or sailing Hamilton Island has it all.

Walks: with almost three quarters of Hamilton Island designated as National Park, you have the perfect opportunity to explore the protected flora and fauna. From easy walks to more challenging treks, you won't be sorry you made the effort.

Hamilton Island is one of the most popular holiday destinations in Australia for good reason: it offers all the comfort and facilities you could want in the most beautiful, unspoiled surroundings - go on, pay us a visit...
