It is often said that the best things come in small packages, and with Daydream Island it is certainly true.
This small island, once known as West Molle Island is barely one kilometre long and less than 250 metres across is picture perfect: white sandy beaches, clear blue waters with a backdrop of lush tropical flora.
Accommodation on Daydream Island is available at the Daydream Island Resort and Spa, and despite the island's size there are plenty of activities to enjoy - many of which are complimentary to guests of the resort as part of a package.
For guests with children, the Skippers Club provides lots of activities and games for ages six weeks up to twelve years. Plenty of fun for the kids, and some time for parents to enjoy their own activities.
Some of the complimentary activities for adults include use of the resort's Kayaks & Catamarans, an open air cinema, a well equipped gym & spa, beach volleyball, tennis, shark feeding, water polo and more.
If you are interested in scuba diving, you can take lessons at the resort or if you are already certified to dive you can simply hire the necessary equipment and enjoy experiencing the amazing underwater world around the island.
Daydream Island is easily reached by ferry from Shute Harbour and Hamilton Island - contact Fantasea Cruises (1800 650 851) for more details.
